DevOps Proxy Configuration

Assuming your proxy server is http://10.11.12.13:8080.

I would like to dedicate this blog to Linux OS, maybe I’ll try to write a separate blog for Windows OS next time.

Ubuntu OS

For Ubuntu OS, as apt is the package manager, change the /etc/apt/apt.conf and update your proxy server.

RedHat or CentOS

For RedHat or CentOS, where yum is the package manager, change the /etc/yum/yum.conf and update your proxy server.

Maven

For Maven, you will have to modify the settings.xml file either at Maven Installation folder or in the .m2 (Maven Local Repository) and update the below proxy configuration.

In the case of Jenkins, update Jenkins –> Manage Jenkins –> Manage Plugins –> Advanced Tab and update your proxy settings.

In the case of Docker, in the Dockerfile you will have to add the below line to configure your proxy server.

In Ubuntu OS

In CentOS

Ansible
